Summer Pre-College Program for High School Students

Introduction to Video Game Programming

Enter the world of computer-gaming design.

Sunday, July 21-Saturday, August 3, 2019, Residential-Only Program

Do you want to learn the art and science behind creating video games? Join us and you will! As one of the most popular majors in higher education today, video game programming weaves together the complexities of computer science and the artistic expression of visual game design. In this course, you will design and develop video games in multiple genres, learn event-driven programming with game engine software, and create an online portfolio of your work so that your friends and peers can play that games you make!

No prior programming experience is necessary.

Student Testimonials

“My experience in Adelphi’s pre-college program has helped shape the direction I’ve taken for the past four years. It was an eye-opener when I learned that many others in my area were just as invested in game development as me. When I returned to my senior year in high school, I chose to pursue my degree at Adelphi. Since then, I’ve had many opportunities to really share, learn and get creative with others, and it has been an experience like no other!”– Evan Leider, Pre-College 2013, Adelphi Class of 2018
